Mountain skiing

Discovering the snowy mountain around Valdeblore.

Mountain skiing is a form of Alpine skiing with telemarks nearer to nature than other forms because you don’t use mechanical lifts, Instead, you use paths by equipping your skis with “sealskin”, which you then take off to descend the slopes again. Accompanied by a qualified local guide, there are a number of magnificent and easily accessible places to discover leaving Valdeblore.

A minimum of skiing technique on the slopes and good physical condition are indispensable for cross country. Ski boots and fastenings, specially adapted for climbing, are necessary, as is safety equipment, including a shovel, probe and ARVA (a machine to help locate victims of avalanches).
