Known for being one of the 10 most beautiful routes in the World, the road to the Col de Turini and numerous hairpins, is famous in the world of Car rallies. Every year the Monte Carlo Rally organises one of its special events. The pass ends at 1607 m and links Bollène-Vésubie or Lantosque, in the Vésubie valley or Sospel in the Bévéra valley. Starting off point for several hikes, the Col de Turini is dominated by the summit of the Authion. The climb by car continues as far as the station of the Camp d’Argent (1700m- 1900m), close to the heart of many people from the region; in effect it’s on these slopes that generations of skiers made their first descents. The attraction of the place is also the view, because Camp d’Argent is one of those rare winter sports stations with a view over the Mediterranean. In summer, the ski slopes are transformed into a huge games and fun area.
